BOOKING Start the booking process today by contacting me through email or Facebook. Party dates are subject to availability and parties are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. I will help you find a date and time that's good for you and once your party is officially booked you can decide which painting you would like your group to do. Your painting selection is required within 48 hours after booking. You may also request a custom painting for your party for an additional non-refundable fee of $25.00.
DEPOSIT After a date is penciled in, a deposit must be made within 48 hours in order for your party to be considered officially booked. If a deposit is not made within those 48 hours you risk losing that date. Deposits are equal to the price of one seat for parties under 20 guests. A $50 deposit is required for all parties with 20 or more guests. A secure PayPal link for your deposit payment will be provided to you. Deposits are used to secure the materials needed for your party and will not be refunded after 48 hours from from payment. Forfeited deposits may not be used at a later date towards another party. INVITE YOUR FRIENDS Let everyone know about your paint party! You can do this as a Facebook event, or mail out fun invitations, or even tack a notice to your community bulletin board. Just make sure your guests get the information and gently remind them to RSVP if necessary. Guests who arrive late may not be able to complete their painting, so in order to avoid this situation and for things to run as smoothly as possible, please let your guests know that they need to arrive on time.
YOUR PARTY YOUR WAY Keep your party stress free! As the host, you only need to worry about providing enough work space for all the members of your party. A long dining room table can usually accommodate 6 easels. An additional folding table is recommended for larger parties and one can be provided at no additional cost. There should also be enough chairs so that each guest has a place to sit while painting. Counter-height kitchen stools also work great at a dining room table because it gives a person height but also allows them to sit. You will also need to provide water for the brush washing containers, as well as a place to dispose of the dirty water after the party. Keep your food and beverages light and simple; there's no need for an elaborate menu. Small snacks work best while holding a paint brush! You can even ask your guests to bring their own food and drinks.
WHAT YOU GET Your party will include 2-3 hours of guided instruction on the painting of your choice, as well as all the supplies needed to complete a finished painting, including smocks and aprons, table coverings, and drop cloths if needed. I will arrive about 30 minutes prior to the agreed start time of your party to set up, and cleanup after your party will take about 30 minutes. All supplies including paint and unused canvas will be returned to me after the event.
PRICING An 11 x 14" canvas painting is $30.00 per person. I also offer an 8 x 10” canvas board painting at $20.00 per person. Each paint party must have a minimum of 5 paying guests, including the host. The host is solely responsible for any additional amount required to pay the minimum amount for 5 guests. Travel fees may apply to parties of less than 10 guests if you are outside of the Harford County and nearby Baltimore County/White Marsh area.
PAYMENT All major credit cards are accepted. The host and guests will be provided with a secure PayPal link specifically created for each party. Upon successful completion of payment, a purchase confirmation/receipt will immediately be sent to the cardholder’s email address directly from PayPal. All guests are required to pay at least 24 hours prior to your paint party, at which time the guest registration for your party will close and a final headcount will be obtained.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS The required deposit for your event is 100% refundable only if your party is canceled within the first 48 hours of payment. Cancellations must be submitted in writing. As a courtesy, you may reschedule your party at no charge within those 48 hours of booking (subject to date availability). Deposits will not be refunded after 48 hours. Any member of your party who wishes to cancel their prepaid reservation as a result of the rescheduling/cancellation will be granted a full refund. A guest who has prepaid but does not attend the party ("no-show") will not be eligible for a refund. A guest who has prepaid but needs to cancel may receive a refund but the host is still responsible for the minimal headcount. Refund requests made after a party is completed must be submitted in writing no later than 24 hours after the party in order to receive proper consideration, after which time a refund will not be given. A full refund is granted only in the event that I am physically unable to provide services at the time your party is scheduled. I reserve the right to cancel/postpone a party at any time due to jeopardizing circumstances/conditions regarding travel.
DISCLAIMERS By booking and hosting a Blue Wave Arts paint party the host agrees to the following:
Blue Wave Arts shall not be held liable for any alcohol related incidences that take place before, during, or after your scheduled party. Blue Wave Arts shall not be held liable for any actions that result in breakage, damage, or bodily harm before, during, or after your scheduled party. As host of a Blue Wave Arts paint party you agree to accept full responsibility for any actions taken by members of your party; you agree that any alcohol served at a paint party hosted by you is done so at your discretion; and you agree that it is your sole responsibility to ensure that all members of your party are of drinking age and are within the legal limits of sober before driving home.
Blue Wave Arts reserves the right to display and promote photographs and/or video taken at your event on this website and other social medial such as Facebook and Instagram.
Blue Wave Arts values its customer's privacy and will not share your email address or any personal information with anyone. For your security, I use a secure credit card payment system through PayPal which allows me to obtain your email for future reference. With your permission, I will send you emails about upcoming special events that might interest you. If you no longer wish to receive these emails, simply ask to be removed from future correspondence.
