Meet the Artist
Hi there! I’m Connie Baker.
I’m an artist living in Harford County, Maryland. I’m also obsessed with the beach! I am a member of the Harford Artists' Association and many of my paintings can be viewed and purchased at the Harford Artists' Gallery in Bel Air, Maryland. These seascapes reflect my passion for a warm sunny beach and are inspired by the beauty of summer vacations along the Outer Banks of North Carolina. With each painting I strive to capture the feel of the waves, the sky, the sand, and the surf in such a way that you can almost smell the salt air and feel the spray of sea water carried off the waves. While my main choice of medium is acrylic, I also paint with watercolor, gouache, and pastels. Since childhood I've loved to create through drawing and painting. I love the pure magic of looking at a blank canvas and then bringing a scene to life. I hope you enjoy my seascapes as much as I enjoy creating them!
